Using WolframAlpha as an FM Synthesizer. Just press the “Play sound” button.
Note. Sometimes the “Play sound” button doesn’t appear. But when it does, it’s magical.
Moog mas a secret new iPad app in the works. This excites me.

Here’s another awesome video of the Dark Time. This guy has a rather impressive synth collection. The first and oddest looking is the Yamaha TQ-5. I checked into it and read somewhere that it was Grace Jones synth of choice. I wouldn’t have ever looked into it, but after hearing it sequenced with the Dark Time, it definitely bears some additional research.
Of course for my money, it doesn’t sound much better than paired with the Mini Moog, though it looks like he’s running it in parallel mode with a Roland or something. Not sure what that’s actually adding to it.
The Korg MS-20 also sounds amazing with this device and is fast becoming my most desired piece of vintage analogue gear. Seems like the perfect starting point for entering the modular world. And the Mono/Poly at the end has a great glitch vibe.
I love the look of that TQ-5. It would look right at home next to the Alesis HR-16. I’m still pissed that I sold that thing.
