(November 3, 2011 – New York, NY) Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries was joined today by state Senator Eric Adams and Council Members Letitia James and Jumaane D. Williams, at a press conference outside One Police Plaza to urge Mayor Bloomberg to appoint an independent commission to investigate corruption within the New York Police Department.
The press conference follows a letter sent by Assemblyman Jeffries urging the mayor to appoint a commission, “to investigate systematic corruption within the New York Police Department.”
