Whose bright idea was a 15-ton Obama sand sculpture for the Democratic convention?
I’m pretty sure this is being built in Myrtle Beach, by “Team Sandtastic”. At least, that’s what The Charlotte Observer suggests. There’s no evidence that it’s being built at the convention or is even affiliated with it, aside from unproven claims by citizenjouranlistdotorg.wordpress.com, which is just repeating sistertoldjah.com, the source of the above photo.
UPDATE: The Charlotte Observer updated their story. This is being built in Charlotte, but in front of the BlackFinn Saloon. It is not affiliated with the convention. VisitMyrtleBeach.com trucked in the sand to promote tourism.
