This entire story is bananas. So, MJ was gay, he had a chronic genetic condition, he couldn’t sing anymore, he was anorexic, and he’d been coherent but depressed in recent days. But his kids have 200 unreleased songs as a “trust fund”. (Make your 2Pac comments now.)

Moral of the story: don’t be famous.

In the meantime, I can’t find any confirmation about the Billy Mays news (apparently he died today) and Honduras had a coup. + Iran, + Afghanistan, + Iraq, + the economy, + Guantanamo Bay, + the end of MSM, + terrorism, + some white girl on trial in Italy. Enjoy the rest of your day.

There are some interesting parallels to the banking/finance industry.  Michael Jackson was “too big to fail”.  There were too many powerful people pulling his strings.  There were too many people invested in the “King of Pop” to let him live a rational, healthy and safe life.  They very people that should have been looking after him instead took advantage and pushed him into a realm beyond reason.  They all know what could (and did) happen as a result, but they didn’t care.

Of course, this isn’t to say that MJ wasn’t ultimately responsible for his own actions.  But it sure does paint an ugly, if all too familiar, picture.
