Why do hotels buy beautiful HDTVs and drive them with stretched SD pictures and mono sound?

Because you can’t split an HD signal 250 ways cheaply. For most big == HD anyway.
Yeah. I think most places will stick with analog until they go 100% VoD. Seems like a Roku box in every room would be the easiest way to do it.
