We’ve designed Tumblarity to fluctuate relatively rapidly based on recent activity.  This will play a big part in the new Directory, which will value quality and activity over static metrics like “followers”.

I like that it’s based on recent activity.  It makes it more of a race against the clock than a race against others.  I feel the same way about Foursquare.  They reset the score every week, which makes obsessing/scamming their way to the top less attractive.

BTW, I’m more tumblar than you Mike.  You must not post enough photographs of naked people.
