Coil - Tained Love
A work of art from Peter Christopherson. The video addressed AIDS in the early 80’s and was dubbed obscene for doing so. It now resides in MOMA’s permanent collection. Mark Almond, who brought Soft Cell’s version of the song to the masses, contributed to this one as well. It’s a stunning, dark interpretation that Marilyn Manson tried, and failed, to top over a decade later.
